Job Description
We are looking for a Documents Clerk for a financial institution
Qualifications:
Academic
• Candidates must meet minimum academic requirements (5 CSEC passes inclusive of Math and English).
Experience
• Past administrative or registry experience/ work experience with attorneys ,with additional relevant experience considered an asset, but is not required.
Proficiency
• Technology Proficiency
• Proficiency in Excel and data management tools
• Familiarity with Mortgage Deeds and Transport/Certificate of Title (preferred)
• Bank literacy (preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collecting and validating data – Validate data against source documents to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Supporting instrument preparation – Prepare data packages for submission to External Counsel.
• Performing reconciliations – Perform reconciliation between Internal records and prepared instruments.
• Conducting analytical reviews – Identify and resolve anomalies, and calculate and assign appropriate proportional values to each instrument.
• Maintaining documentation and filing – Document, organize, and file records in accordance with established procedures.
• Coordinating with stakeholders – Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and information exchange.
• Preparing reports and tracking progress – Monitor, track, and report on the status of assigned activities.
Deliverables:
• Accurate and complete data spreadsheets
• Prepared and reconciled packages
• Exception and resolution tracking
• Weekly/monthly progress reports
• Final reconciliation confirming completion of all assigned transfers
The contract will be for a duration of 6-months. (There is a possibility of an extension, but the extension is not guaranteed)
