Requirements
Qualifications:

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Optometry from a recognised institution.
✅ Minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE subjects, including Mathematics and English.
✅ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in optometry.
✅ Registered with the Guyana Medical Council and in good standing.
✅ Experience with contact lenses is an asset.

❗Special Conditions
Must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays, and extended hours during peak trading periods.

Responsibilities
✅Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests.
✅ Diagnose visual impairments and prescribe corrective lenses or treatments.
✅ Detect and manage eye diseases including glaucoma and conditions linked to systemic illnesses.
✅ Fit and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.
✅ Educate patients on eye care, contact lens hygiene, and safety practices.
✅ Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for advanced care.
✅ Promote preventative eye health and contribute to store performance targets.
