Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Client Acquisition
  • Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities for Guyana Careers’ recruitment and HR services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the company’s corporate client portfolio.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with business leaders, HR professionals, government agencies and decision-makers to promote the company’s services.
  • Build long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Prepare business proposals, presentations and quotations for prospective clients.
  • Represent Guyana Careers at networking events, conferences, trade shows and other business development activities.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging industries, labour market trends and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with management to develop initiatives that strengthen the company’s market presence and brand visibility.
  • Achieve agreed business development targets and contribute to the company’s revenue growth.
Recruitment Support
  • Promote Guyana Careers’ recruitment services to employers across various industries.
  • Gather and document clients’ recruitment requirements.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities including vacancy advertising, candidate communications, interview scheduling and recruitment logistics.
  • Liaise with the recruitment team to ensure timely delivery of recruitment services.
  • Support employer onboarding and maintain accurate client records.
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the recruitment process.
Legal Office & Work Permit Support
  • Assist in coordinating applications for work permits and other employment-related immigration matters.
  • Liaise with relevant government ministries and agencies regarding application requirements and submissions.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate and submitted within required timelines.
  • Maintain confidential files and records relating to work permit applications.
Administration & Operations
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities, client interactions, recruitment assignments and work permit applications.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports for management.
  • Maintain databases and client relationship records.
  • Manage business correspondence, filing systems and administrative documentation.
  • Provide general office administrative support as required.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted professionally, ethically and confidentially.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, Account Management, Recruitment, Client Relations or a similar role.
  • Proven experience developing business relationships and generating new clients is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with corporate clients, government agencies or professional services firms would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes and HR services is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with immigration or work permit processes would be beneficial but is not required.
